What are those scarves for?

Our parish vision outlined the desire to help those less fortunate in the community. Borrowing an idea from another Catholic Church, the Scarves for Warmth was created. This outreach goal is to have handmade scarves donated to the parish and then tie the scarves around the light poles in downtown Charlotte.
In 2024, more than 70 scarves were donated thus far which is enough to get us started tying them to the light posts. This year (2025) we placed 90 scarves throughout downtown Charlotte. Thank you for making such wonderful hugs for those in need, for assembling the gifts and for placing them onto the light poles.
